On library, community needs to rally, look ahead

To the editor:

The news about the library board’s decision to withdraw from Plum Creek was quite surprising, especially in light of the strong support for staying in the system a little over a week ago.

Despite this, I would like to encourage the community to put aside criticism and join together to find ways to help our library continue to be a useful, interesting resource for our community.

This decision gives us as community members the opportunity to shape our library. Instead of criticizing the decision, possibly leading to even more flip-flopping, stop by the library and ask the dedicated employees how we can help make our local library better.
