Carlson fans 11 in Tracy Legion win

TRACY – Tracy picked up a 2-0 win over Madison Thursday night and they were lead by Tayler Carlson, who struck out 11 and walked just two batters and gave up three hits.

The game was scoreless until the fifth inning when Matt Dolan drove in a run with a single and Austn Gleis drew a bases loaded walk before Carlson finished off the complete game shutout.

Carlson felt location was the key to his success.

“I was just hitting my spots,” Carslon said. “That was the main thing.”

Tracy is set to get seeded for the playoffs on Wednesday and they will need to put more runs on the board if they are going to advance in the tournament.

“It’s just getting the guys to believe they are confident hitters,” Tracy coach James Fultz said. “All of them are good hitters, it’s just about getting the confidence to go up there and get the hits they know they can get.”
