Prinsburg shuts out Cottonwood

PRINSBURG- Prinsburg won a pitchers duel with Cottonwood Thursday night, winning 2-0.

Austin Bulthuis through a complete game shutout and had help from his defense, striking out three and walking one.

The five hits he did allow didn’t end up hurting them.

Randy Louwagie took the loss in six innings of work. He struck out five batters and didn’t allow a walk.

Jacob Rausch, Jacob Neu, Travis Varpness, Seth Plotz and Chris Berg got the hits for Cottonwood.

Varpness doubled and Plotz finished with a triple.

Nick Daugherty had a strong day at the plate for Prinsburg, going 3-for-3 with an RBI while Bulthuis had the other RBI.
