The “Summer Spotlight” section runs weekly and features upcoming festivals going on around the area.

Today: Polka Fest.

Soon time to strike up the band in Seaforth

Seaforth celebrates its 41st annual Polka Fest, starting Friday.

The festival will include food, live music and tournaments of all sorts. Lunch stands by A & J Processing will be held during the entire weekend, and beer stands will be on the grounds.

The outdoor Mass Saturday requires that attendees provide their own seating.

All proceeds collected during the festival are used for the benefit and upkeep of the town. Advance tickets for events are available at the Seaforth Tavern, Vesta Liquor, Vesta Cafe, Cedar Street Bar and Grill in Wabasso and Fuhr Insurance in Redwood Falls.
