Support for Carter

A couple of Holy Redeemer School teachers made use of the playground fence at Jean and Whitney streets this week by placing Styrofoam cups in the fence to form the words “TEAM CARTER.” They then took a photo of their creation to post it on CaringBridge.org for Carter Boerboom, an eighth-grader who has been undergoing treatment for cancer. Boerboom, the son of Susan Geske and Wade Boerboom, has been in an out of the hospital all summer. The teachers, who did not want to be identified because they wanted to represent the school community, wanted another way to show support, they said.
