Step up and show your support for our library

To the editor:

As the children’s librarian at the Marshall-Lyon County Library for the last 32 years I have had the privilege and joy to present programs to many of the children in Lyon County at the libraries in Marshall, Balaton and Cottonwood, school program in Russell and family daycares in Marshall, Cottonwood and rural Lyon County.

Some families are now in their second and third generations of visiting the Marshall-Lyon County Library. If you drive by the Marshall-Lyon County Library at 201 C Street you see the fantastic addition going up fast and furious courtesy of Mr. Carr.

Since school dismissed for the summer the door at the Marshall-Lyon County Library has not stop swinging with the constant stream of children visiting us for books and programs.

Let’s not stop the great tradition of the Marshall-Lyon County Library. Show your support for the Marshall-Lyon County Library, talk to your county commissioner and attend the public meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday second floor, commissioners’ chambers at the Lyon County Courthouse. The children of Lyon County need and want the tradition of the Marshall-Lyon County Library to continue.
