SUMMER SPOTLIGHT: City of Tyler ready to celebrate

The “Summer Spotlight” section runs weekly and features upcoming festivals going on around the area.

Today: Aebleskiver Days.

TYLER – Tyler celebrates their traditional Aebleskiver Days again beginning today with the annual golf tournament.

The community recognizes its Danish roots during this festival with the special Danish pancake, and with the people of the community. Other Danish treats are also served throughout these days with activities like folk dancing, a 5K, talent show and parade.

There will be a Community Church Service on Sunday where attendees are asked to bring their own seating.

In the event of rain, the service will be at the Tyler Golf Clubhouse. To register for the 5K, visit
