Today: Belgian-American Days in Ghent.
Things are soon to get rolling
The Rolle Bolle Capital of the World invites all to visit Ghent for its 2014 Belgian-American Days on Friday.
The 8th annual car show will take place on Saturday, and is open to cars, trucks, motorcycles and tractors.
An initial entry fee is $10 for a first vehicle and $5 for additional vehicles.
There will also be a trivia contest and food stands on site, with Car-Tunes provided by KISD’s Mylan Ray. Several awards will be given out after the show.
Rolle bolle tournaments will take place on Saturday as well, though signup is today. The street dance and parade also return with a couple new events this year, including the Mud Run and “Lawnmower Mozy” scavenger hunt. Regarding the hunt, bicycles and strollers are welcome, and afterward, KB’s will be serving ribs. Cost for ribs is $5 for adults and $1 for children. For the water slides and inflatables on Saturday, kids are asked to bring their own swimsuits. Raffle tickets can be purchased at KB’s for drawings during the lunch at St. Eloi on Sunday, as the fest comes to an end.
