To the editor:
On Aug. 12 we have a very important primary election to determine who the endorsed candidates will be in several positions on Nov. 4 general election.
I want to remind everyone that a new law was passed allowing early voting in Minnesota.
The process is: Go to the Auditors Office at the Courthouse and ask for an “absentee ballot.” If you are not registered here, you can do that by showing proof of residence with two documents. (A utilities bill, drivers license, cable bill, etc.) You can fill out a form and get the “absentee ballot” and vote for your candidates. This ballot is sealed and will be counted on Aug. 12.
I encourage everyone, especially those from Ward I, to take advantage of this process. It can be done at your convenience, during normal Courthouse hours.
