LAMBERTON – Olivia Bittner led the Red Rock Central volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep (25-23, 25-21, 25-12) over Springfield Thursday night.

Bittner led the Falcons with four aces, connecting on 16-of-17 serves. She also finished the match with nine kills and 13 digs.

Rachel Kedl had 11 kills to lead RRC.

Jenny Thoreson led Springfield with 10 digs and 33 set assists.

The Falcons return to action on Tuesday when they travel to face Windom Area.

Yellow Medicine East swept Minnewaska Area 3-0 Thursday night. The Sting took the first set 25-15 and followed it with 25-17 and 25-20 wins.

Chyanne Sand and Jordan Hinz powered the offens with 14 kills each. Makayla Dyrdahl chipped in 11 to go with seven from Paige Steffen and six from Maggie Scheffler.

Sand also came up with a team-high six blocks while Kalli Knudson had 17 set aces and Hinz led the digging effort with 10.

Madison Hagert had two serving aces while Knudson, Kelsey Sorenson and Hinz each had one.
