Duran leads Tigers to win
Sam Duran didn’t let this game end up like the previous three for the Marshall Tigers soccer team. The Tiger captain scored every goal in a come from behind 4-3 victory against the Mankato Loyola/LCWM/St. Clair Crusaders on Thursday night.
The Tigers didn’t the rainy conditions or a first half deficit sap their energy.
They were down 3-0 after forty minutes of play. Duran quickly got his team back into the game after the break.
He scored two goals in the first minute of the second half. He scored the equalizer a few minutes later.
“We just never gave up this game,” said coach Andy Larson. “We talked at the half about how we wanted to switch things up and calm down a little bit.”
Duran put his team up for good with 18 seconds to go. He was assisted by Sebastian Landry.
The Tigers are now 1-3. They face Worthington at home on Tuesday evening. The game starts at 5:45 p.m.
