INVER GROVE HEIGHTS – Services for John M. “Jack” Boerner, 83, of Inver Grove Heights are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 789 – 17th Ave N, South St. Paul. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Private burial took place at Fort Snelling National. Memorials preferred to donor’s choice.
A fun, loving and caring man, he passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug, 26, 2014.
He was born and raised in Cottonwood. He served his country as a Korean War Vet, Army National Guard and a police officer, retired working for the State of Minnesota.
Survivors include his best friend and wife of 61 years, Dorothy Fox; children, Steve (and Sarah), Cheryl Rowe, Todd (and Suzanne), Marcy (and Chris) Hites; grandsons, Chase, Spencer, Collin and Garrett; brother, Melvin; sister, Bonnie Richter; and many other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Earl and Mamie; sisters Inez, Dorothy and Wanda; and brothers Donald, Dwayne and Dale “Bud.”
